Can't a person leave for two minutes without someone getting wounded, maimed, or murdered in this place?! What's been going on here?? Someone, anyone, tell me? ...is there anyone still alive to tell me?
( she may sound facetious, but underneath her flippancy is a real undercurrent of worry - and fear. )
Current Mood: anxious
I don't know details. Yes, there are plenty of us still alive, but most of us are pretty shaken up.
Good to see you're alright anyway.
There is better news in the world, but I want to wait until this dies down...
It does seem like it. --*hesitates* Then... dare I ask - I know Draco's -- but who else --? ...if you know that much, at least --
Wouldn't any news be better news? Well, almost any?
Ron, Hermione and Harry. All three killed by You-Know-Who.
Yes, but to talk about it seems ghoulish somehow. I promise, you'll know as soon as it seems fair to tell people.
*winces, looking away and down* Those three. Always them... What a knack they've got - they had - ---have got, for trouble-!
I'll hold you to that promise, Gideon.
Especially when they go looking for it. *sighs*
Since things are looking up. I'm getting married and I'm going to be a father. Can you imagine either?
*slowly* At the same time, one can't blame them. Especially Harry, but - all three of them, for just wanting to do something --
Not at all, to be honest, but congratulations! Who's the -- ...lucky, I guess, *with a softening wink* woman?
Yes. It wasn't wise. I think... I hope they're going to be okay now.
Marlene, of course. *grins*
Maybe -- until next time.
Like I couldn't'a seen that one coming!
I'm alive, though -- slightly stiff and grumpy.
*wryly* Better that than nothing, I suppose. *makes a movement as though to hug him - but thinks (better? worse?) of it, and stills*
Sure. *could use the hug -- and they're still friends, after all, whoever said friends couldn't hug? -- so hugs her, wincing slightly*
*no one at all - thankfully* *hugs him back (just grateful he initiated it) though trying, a bit, to tone down her usual overeager exuberance to something less --- painful*
