10:05 pm - reading~~
After the...conversation of the other night with Remus, Tonks (pink-haired today) found a copy of Pride and Prejudice in the Mansion library, and has been reading it since. She can be found now in the front room, sprawled upside down on a couch, her head hanging off the side and her legs against the back of the couch, reading it, if anyone would care to come in and bother her.

12:16 am - open post, we are trend followers here at Tonks' House of Infrequent Entries
Sometimes, Tonks has found, it's easier to keep yourself to yourself; sometimes, it's just easier if you stay away from it all, keep entirely out of all the nonsense and mess happening around you, and let the world go on without you. Sometimes that's the safest plan.
Sometimes, though, as she has also found, you get lonely, and just sick and tired of isolation.
--which explains why she's come downstairs in the Mansion, now, and may be found in the kitchen, one of the Mansion's more inhabited areas, perched on the counter with a half-eaten ham sandwich on a plate upon her knee, and something of a mess around her - the result of her spirited attempts at culinary art, and probably a tragedy to anyone who fancies themselves a proper cook. Or, for that matter, housekeeper.

01:24 am - Reading in the library
Her hair is a pale aquamarine today, long enough to hide her face as she bends her head over the book in her lap. Aquamarine locks and all, she's in the library - a vast library, with seemingly endless acres of books. The thick, leather-bound one resting against her folded knees is just one of thousands, but it must be a particularly fascinating example of its kind, because Tonks seems to have eyes (an aqua to match her hair) for nothing else.

Can't a person leave for two minutes without someone getting wounded, maimed, or murdered in this place?! What's been going on here?? Someone, anyone, tell me? ...is there anyone still alive to tell me?
( she may sound facetious, but underneath her flippancy is a real undercurrent of worry - and fear. )

10:32 pm - Saint Valentine was full of it.
Once again, St. Valentine's Day looms right around the corner; and once again, Singles Awareness Day follows in its footsteps. On that day of days, we poor pathetic many who are without a Significant Other become much easier to single (haha.... sorry) out, because they're the ones walking around with their heads down, hands stuffed in trouser pockets, looking glum.
Treat yourself to some chocolates - spit out the nougat ones - hug your lonely plush bear, and give yourself a resounding "Happy Singles Awareness Day, self."

Typist: Right, you'll be seeing this note at the top of quite a few posts tonight. I have had no internet connection, for some reason, for a couple of days, so was unable until now to post any sort of xmassy posts or present posts. :( ...so they're late. Sorry.
Merry Christmas, everyone! Just got a few gifts here, sorry they're a bit late - don't look at me for punctuality, really now - but anyway, here they are just the same. (And in, er, no particular order.)

Mm... yeah, that was a good night.
Therefore, by the laws of restaurant quality, it must've been French.

04:29 pm - To whom it may concern:
All right, friends and similar, I'm taking a bit of a
poll survey, because, well, Christmas is right around the corner, after all, and that raises some questions. For instance, how many of the people 'round here celebrate it or some other, similar, holiday? Who really believes in the whole Spirit of Christmas (or equivalent), and who's just in it for the gifts?
And, most important question of all, what would you like for Christmas?
--Which is, of course, the real point of this silly survey thing.
Because, chums, I'm notorious for being pretty rotten at picking out gifts for people.
Just ask dad about father's day, the year I was seven.
